Thank you for considering purchasing a home in the Bel Air neighborhood. It is always nice to have great new neighbors! Since you are wondering about crime, I found an article for you about that subject that was in our local police precinct's May newsletter. It reads:

How Do I Find Phoenix Crime Statistics?
Frequently, Mountain View Precinct receives calls from citizens or potential home buyers
regarding crime statistics. The easiest way to obtain crime statistics is to visit
http://phoenix.gov/APPINTRO/crimesta.html. Simply click on the “View Crime Statistics” button and select the method by which you would like to search. Keep in mind that when searching for statistics, the search dates might only let you search up to the last month or so. This is due to reports that are still being submitted or inputted into the data base or are being categorized into violent crimes, property crimes and so on. If you have a particular concern, or are noticing an increase in criminal activity in your neighborhood/area, please contact your Community Action Officer (CAO) either by their desk line or the main precinct number, (602) 495-5007. It take a little time for them to look into the calls and
reports, but they will be more than happy to help as much as possible. To obtain a copy of a police report, you can contact the public records detail at (602) 534-1127. The Public Records Detail is located at 1717 East Grant St. Suite#100 Phoenix, AZ 85034. They are open 8:00 am to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for city holidays. To obtain a copy of a traffic accident report, you can either request a copy from the public records detail, or visit https://secure.phoenix.gov/phxssld/tars/home.jsf.

Previously, it has been mentioned that the crime stats for the area that covers the Bel Air neighborhood also includes stats for an area north of the Grand Canal, which is outside of our neighborhood's boundaries. When that is taken into consideration, a clearer picture comes into focus. Bel Air is a nice neighborhood to live in.

I hope this information helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
